Today I'm was in old XIX century Masonry villa. Condition of this building is horrible, when I'm was wolking on floor it was squeezing in, in some places there are no roofs and floors, I dont know why such beautiful construction is not rebuilded.

Original ceiling

Beautiful historic window

View from highest floor, there is no roof...

...

One of decorated door jamb

This ceiling is so well-kept

Thank you, Serkses. We have the same situation here. Lots of XIX century buildings
just waiting to fall down. Those who got the chance to be restored, look absolutely beautiful.

I dont know how it is in Romania with decaying old buildings but in Poland its because of stupid regulations about monuments. You can't just demolish old building beacouse for that yu can go even to jail, but when building is gonna be destroyed by nature everything is okay and when building is in condition that is very dangerous you can ruin it. One more important thing is that when you wanna rebuild historic building you need to do it with premission of conservator , becaouse builing need to be same as it was thundred years ago, and rebuilding this kind of buildings is very expensive(Firm where my dad was warking wanted to buy this villa, but cost of rebuilding it was something like 4 milion dollars and it was 15 years ago, now I think rebuilding it is cost like 10 milion dollars), cheaper is to wait until building will fall and build in this place new, modern things. Its sad beacouse in my city we had lots of beautiful old buildings but because of polish regulations they deteriorate.
