Sorting and checking my so called wardrobe, in anticipation of any random summer, i got suddenly bored by my old T-shirts, grey, black, black/gray and grey/black. So, considering the condition of my purse, i decided to refresh them a bit in the cheaper way i know...
The method :
1 - Take an old cotton T-shirt, I think it must work with all colors.
2 - Form a twist by wrapping the T-shirt on itself.
3 - Make a knot at each end of the twist, we can also make one eventually in the middle.
4 - Soak the twist in a bowl filled with cold water very highly chlorinated with bleach for about two hours. Undo the twist, check the result, repeat the operation if necessary, forming the twist in another direction.
5 - Rinse several times abundantly and possibly soak in warm or hot water with shower gel, for example, to remove the smell of bleach.
6 - Put to dry on a hanger.
The uneven distribution of chlorine, because of the many twists of the textile, creates this kind of patterns, aleatory and therefore unique.
The cost :
Well, don't know, perhaps two or three euros, including bleach and water, for a full range of crazy looking T-shirts. What could be better ?
Enjoy it on the beach, with Chinese forgery of Ray-Ban Aviators...
