I actually did watch the small documentary series now, that Otto presented in the thread above.
It is the best documentary about the topic WW2 I for myself have ever seen.

There is one question I am asking myself, especially in these days we live in now:
After all these victims and tragedies,
after all these generations sacrificed their own lifes (by death and and especially by the miserable they had to suffer),
and additionally focussing on those who were fighting (and dying) for a better world,
would they be satisfied, about to see what we, generations after all that happened, made out of this world...?
