get something like gamepad as we discussed, you will enjoy the game more.
Also when you go faster your tires get warmer which will give you more grip. I saw in your video your tires were still cold. It takes 2-3 laps to get them up to optimal temperature. Also your car setup can help, like changing camber. Of course Monaco is a very unforgiving track, I try to learn the game again on Monza, the track is a little wider there.

Great images on Zandvoort circuit (The Netherlands) which is very close to where I live (I once drove my motorbike on it) but is not used for Formula 1 races any more. Such a shame. I did see the Marlboro masters there somewhere in 2000 or so with Schumacher.

Grand Prix Legends, I try to race in a Lotus 49 at Monza on September 10 1967. I start at the back off the grid, I manage to get to eighth place (12 cars) but of course it doesn't take long before I get on the gas too early and spin. Such a hard game to master and race competitively.
(Yes Monza again, check this post to see me doing some laps on modern day Monza --> Project CARS )

No assists, manual shifting, novice damage system.
