The tomb of a Catholic woman and her Protestant husband, separated by a wall :embarassed:

This picture, taken in 1888 in Holland, reflects a time when a man and a woman of different religions could not be buried together. In 1880, a Protestant colonel dies and is buried in the Protestant cemetery. His wife, to whom he had been married for 38 years, died eight years later. She decided to be buried near the wall that separates it from her husband.

Amazing :surprised:

In 2014, Stan was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a disease that affects the heart and can push the body to stop at any time. His brother, Dominic, is also suffering from this genetic disease. The doctors decided to remove the hearts of the brothers and replaced by another entirely artificial.

At the time, the doctors did not know how long the system could hold. If this system is innovative, it still remains cumbersome and handicapping every day. Stan is accommodated in even managing to continue playing basketball, he held this machine for 17 months. The transplant of his new heart was held May 9, 2016 and it went perfectly.
