But wait Feld, the Germans are also responsible for this:

Talkin' about German sound here ?
This is Lemmingmania, the instrumental from the eponym album by Amon Düül II that always gives me shivers.
Observe it's kinda old.
Play it.
Admite it's fucking good.
Replay it.

Well, ok, i'm going to play my old schmuck a bit... ( Hell, i like that stuff so much...
)
You know, people, don't listen to the old schmucks who say, a bit too much easy and quickly, that " it was better before"...
Before what ? Before you ? Before them ? Before the "good old times", understand the times when they, they as a time ( and unquestionable ) reference, just because they were born at that time, the times they claim their because they were "young", thus powerful, thus full of will and full of illusions, illusions lost because of everything and anything but them...
Their time, the right one by definition, and anything else after it is, by definition, worse...
No, dont't listen to them...
Better listen to the old schmucks who tell you to enjoy you time, to take everything you can about it, to take the good as a lighthouse and the bad as a suitcase, and to carry all of this stuff that, somewhere, builted you...
As French author Anna Gavalda says, all of that who helped you to live...
Better listen to the old schmucks who tell you to never be ashamed to say, about a simple thing as a song : " Yes, this song is part of me, part of my life, part of my journey on this planet, and this is good, and i want to share it, with people from my generation, who will maybe agree because they know it, and with people from other generations, who will maybe agree because they discover it...
Okay Nik, better shut up, better pour yourself another glass of this excellent white Bordeaux, better pump on the volume...
Better listen to this, by Janis Joplin...
