Perhaps unknown in non French-speaking countries (?), this single by Chagrin d'amour was an immediate and huge success in France when it was released, in august 1981.

Widely broadcasted in the context of the creation of free radios after the end of government monopoly on radio broadcasting, Chacun fait (c'qui lui plaît) will be sold 1 200 000 copies and reach the 1st place of French charts in 1981 and spring 1982.
