Well lads, if some of you wants to have a look on the French lyrics provided on my last thread, be careful because there is a mistake with the French lyrics.

You will read : "Voyez mon sac de misère lourd de gourdes, vide d'argent". That have no sense in French, because of the word "gourdes", which is the plural for the French word "gourde" which mean "water bottle".

The right lyrics are: "Voyez mon sac de misère, lourd de coups, vide d'argent". That mean : "Come on, have a look on my bag of misery, heavy with kicks, empty of money."

This mistake appear often on the lyrics websites... Well, the authors of those websites are forgivable because of this bloody copy/paste ( ôÔ ) and also because, in French, the word "gourde" (water bottle) sounds a bit as same as "coup" (kick) in this song. Well, no problem, i'm sure that i also do a lot of mistakes, trying to speak the Shakespeare langage... ^^

For information, here are the right French lyrics... If you're not familiar with French langage, you will easily translate it using some online translator as Reverso or something... Even if such tools are not perfect, it will give you a good idea about the sense of that song...

Okay, that was tonight Nikita's French tip...^^ Cya all ^^

Although the movie (Tron Legacy) itself is of the boring kind (beside the visual aspects), the soundtrack is really worth a consideration.
Here are some excerpts:

Daft Punk - end titles:

Daft Punk - Recognizer:

Daft Punk - Flynn lives:

I have to admit, I never was a friend of Daft Punk, but this is awesome...

And this one too, for starting the day...

A Cycle V title, extract from the Giorgio's Moroder original soundtrack of the Fritz Lang masterpiece Metropolis...
This is the scene where the underground workers teams change, just before the mortal explosion of the main power machine...

This one got a special signification for me, but... keep your secret secret...^^

Have a nice day all ^^

Here's a not so bad English translation that i found on the web...

In the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who sings
Of the dreams that he brings
From the wide open sea
In the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who sleeps
While the riverbank weeps
With the old willow tree
In the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who dies
Full of beer, full of cries
In a drunken down fight
And in the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who's born
On a muggy hot morn
By the dawn's early light
In the port of Amsterdam
Where the sailors all meet
There's a sailor who eats
Only fishheads and tails
He will show you his teeth
That have rotted too soon
That can swallow the moon
That can haul up the sails
And he yells to the cook
With his arms open wide
Bring me more fish
Put it down by my side
Then he wants so to belch
But he's too full to try
So he gets up and laughs
And he zips up his fly
In the port of Amsterdam
You can see sailors dance
Paunches bursting their pants
Grinding women to paunch
They've forgotten the tune
That their whiskey voice croaks
Splitting the night with the
Roar of their jokes
And they turn and they dance
And they laugh and they lust
Till the rancid sound of
The accordion bursts
Then out to the night
With their pride in their pants
With the slut that they tow
Underneath the street lamps
In the port of Amsterdam
There's a sailor who drinks
And he drinks and he drinks
And he drinks once again
He drinks to the health
Of the whores of Amsterdam
Who have promised their love
To a thousand other men
They've bargained their bodies
And their virtue long gone
For a few dirty coins
And when he can't go on
He plants his nose in the sky
And he wipes it up above
And he pisses like I cry
For an unfaithful love
In the port of Amsterdam
In the port of Amsterdam
