In The Netherlands they started airing the new sequel to Das Boot. Personally I have been waiting for this for a few years after I heard they started production. Supposedly it goes on after the events in the original series / movie but will this time focus on more than just the life onboard a u-boot, like the French resistance. Only saw the first episode so far so hard to tell if it is any good. The first episode is mostly character introduction but the production looks good.

Well them being kids is actually quite accurate. By that time in the war the crews basically consisted of kids because the veterans all had already died...But I will admit the acting is not too strong. I am hoping it will be a bit better as the series progresses.
