Soldier Antoine le Quinio, 22 years old.

Soldier Nicolas Vokaer, 23 years old.

Both from the French 8th RPiMa (Marine Parachute Regiment).

Killed in action in Central African Republic, under UN mandate, during an operation of disarmament of militias.

Naturally, the tribute will be unanimous... As was unanimous the vote of the UN Security Council...

RIP, boys, and let the sleepers sleep...

Hey lads,

As you all know, in 2014 will take place the 70th anniversary of the landing in Normandy. On this occasion, the local press here regularly tells about it by managing special internet pages.

Of course, it's in French but if some of you are interested about this topic or that topic, just ask me for attempting an English translation. 8)

Well, we shall say that the storm which rages on the Breton coast for several days has something good. After the strong blow of wind which swept beaches here, a part of the dunes of Locmariaquer, near Lorient, collapsed, updating 80 shells hidden under a bunker since WW2. The beach is secured by the gendarmerie and we wait for the arrival from Brest of the Navy mine clearance experts this afternoon.

End of the story...

The job is done. According to Romain Abautret, teamleader of the mine clearance experts, "most of the shells were sluggish, but some of them still had active materials. We have blow 5 kg of active material."
