Absent for 15 years while being paid: the employee of the hospital beats in a record in Italy

The 67-year-old man, who could have benefited from complicity in the establishment, raised more than 538,000 euros.
He is already known as "the king of absenteeism". A 67-year-old Italian is said to have broken the record for absenteeism at work. According to several Italian media outlets, including Il Piccolo and La Stampa, the police suspect that he continued to receive his salary while he had not worked at the Pugliese Ciaccio hospital in the Calabrian town of Catanzaro since 2005. In a country that is plagued by absenteeism in the public sector, he is accused of abuse, forgery and extortion, as are six other people who could have played a role in hiding his absences.
The investigators gathered evidence that he allegedly made threats against the director of the hospital at the time in order to prevent him from filing a disciplinary report on his absenteeism. The Director left, and the presence of the fraudster was never subsequently verified by the succeeding Director. The police were finally able to establish a complete record using attendance records, pay slips and the testimonies of their colleagues.

Their wives point in their place

In all, this Italian who was paid every month since 2005, has extorted more than 538,000 euros, a staggering sum, also considered there as a record according to the Italian media. He was finally dismissed in September 2020 by the hospital, in which he had only visited once, the day his contract was signed in 2005
In 2016, however, the Italian government toughened the law on the scale of absenteeism in the country’s public sector. Many cases revealed by the police show to what extent some do not hesitate to defraud their employers. In particular, they uncovered a network of scams that had been going on for two years at San Remo City Hall, where the wives of the employees stood in their place while their husbands went shopping, canoeing or going out with friends. Even worse, a police officer was caught pointing at his work in his underwear before going back to bed. He lived in the same building as his work.

These Italians are really strong, true champions

Vlad the vaccinator: Dracula's castle lures visitors with COVID-19 jabs Visitors to Dracula's castle are more likely to find puncture marks in their arms than their necks this month, after medics set up a COVID-19 vaccination centre at the Transylvanian attraction.
Doctors and nurses with fang stickers on their scrubs are offering free Pfizer
(PFE.N)  shots to all-comers at 14th century Bran Castle, which is purported to be an inspiration for the vampire's towering home in Bram Stoker’s novel "Dracula".Castle staff hope the service will bring more people to the site in Romania's Carpathian mountains, where tourist numbers have plummeted since the start of the pandemic.Anyone can turn up without an appointment every weekend in May. They also get free entry to the castle's exhibit of 52 medieval torture instruments.

Romanian nurses are lovely Snow, I understand your motivation to get vaccinated

I don't know how Wanger can sleep at night. Those idiots probably ran out of rockets or some other reason that doesn't make sense. At least it's good to see China inviting both parties to discuss about peace...  I hope Wanger can sleep well now, while it lasts.
