The Pearl of Lao Tzu, aka Pearl of Lao Tze, aka Pearl of Allah is the largest known pearl in the world. This pearl was found by a Filipino diver on May 7, 1934. It is not considered as a gemstone pearl, but is instead what is known as a "clam pearl" or "Tridacna pearl" from a giant clam. Its diameter is about 24 cm and its weight is about 6.4 kg. According to gemmology.ch, its value in 2006 was estimated at 61,850,000 U.S.$.
