The native americans did worship the Great Spirit as God. They know IT as living in all things
and is the source of everything. They always give thanks when sacrificing a deer or other animal
for the life it gives away to help the human survive and evolve. Something like the lower, less
evolved creatures, will serve the greater with their life so that they(lesser) can evolve
I think when you cut the head of the chicken, even when she struggles, she'd be happy to give
her life away to make a great chicken soup and make someone happy. The more of what you
give, the more comes back to you(even if you don't want/need it

Just a point : I said "Indians" but in fact, i guess that, in English language, it's "native Americans" as Snowman wrote it.
EDIT : Also, about this stuff, i've not read a lot of books about it but just a couple. I only can highly recommend this one by James Wilson.

Back to music in this topic, please gentlemen ...

Well, these present times, at the FNAC store, it's operation 4 CDs for 20 euros about which i have already spoken in this forum.
Among my small selection of today, i caught this one, which was waiting for me alone in a corner ....
Pffff … What d'you want me to tell you? On piano, it's Martha Argerich, a world reference for quite a long time and ultra specialist of Chopin.
In front of (!), it's Charles Dutoit who conducts the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. As we say in France, " vas-y " …
EDIT : For those who are interested or want to discover Martha Argerich, i of course highly recommend this record, "The legendary 1965 recording", when her breathtaking performance at the International Fredéric Chopin Contest of Varsaw makes her win nothing less than three prizes and a standing ovation. As a way to claim : "Here i am now, my name is Martha Argerich, i'm going to play the romantic repertoire as you never listened before and i'm going to mark the history of piano for this century and the following."
Of course, prominently in my collection and a regular in my CD player.
