Here's one by French singer Alain Souchon...

And each time i see such things, not necessarily in Belleville street...

Well, posting it, that's already something...

Alain Souchon
That's already something

Available on Deezer

I know well that Belleville street,
Nothing is made for me
But I'm in a beautiful city:
That's already something.
So far from my antelope
I walk softly.
Walking in a city in Europe,
That's already something.

Oh, oh, oh, and I dream
As Sudan, my country suddenly rises ...
Oh, oh,
Dreaming, that's already something, that's already something.

There's a green plastic bag
At the end of my arm.
In my green bag, there is air:
That's already something.
When I dance, walking
In these djellabas,
It makes smiling the passers
That's already something.

Oh, oh, oh, and I dream
As Sudan, my country suddenly rises ...
Oh, oh,
Dreaming, that's already something, that's already something,
That's already something, already something.

Already ...

For wanting the beautiful music,
Sudan my Sudan,
For a democratic air
We broke your teeth.
For wanting the world speaking
Sudan my Sudan ,
The one of the words exchanged,
We broke your teeth.

Oh, oh, oh, and I dream
As Sudan, my country suddenly rises ...
Oh, oh,
Dreaming, that's already something, that's already something.

I sit in Belleville street
In the middle of a crowd,
And then, the hemophiliac time
Flows.

Oh, oh, oh, and I dream
As Sudan, my country suddenly rises ...
Oh, oh,
Dreaming, that's already something, that's already something.
Oh, oh, oh, and I dream
Suddenly, my country, Sudan rises ...
Oh, oh,
Dreaming that's already something, that's already something.

That's... already... something...

Well, don't know, maybe it's because the weather today...

Here's a song by Soldat Louis, a local band. The title is Pavillon noir (Jolly Roger).
The lyrics are very difficult for me to translate in English, because they are full of slang, and also i must admit, i have no desire... Basically, it's about the blues of a sailor...

Rain is falling, seaguls are screaming... C'mon, sing...
