On my screen tonight: Guns at Batasi (1964)

The East African nation of Batasi is tearing apart at the seams, and a
group of British soldiers are caught in the middle. As fighting breaks out
between two rival factions in the former British colony, by-the-books
Regimental Sgt. Maj. Lauderdale (Richard Attenborough) attempts to
preserve peace and order. But his rigid style of command becomes
increasingly ill-suited to a volatile political situation in which the stability
of the old era has been replaced by violent conflict.

Using for the first time the VOD free service provided by the Lorient public library to every registered user.

Lot of really good movies, of every style and for every taste, as usual with the three public libraries here, really no ostracism and everyone may find something he likes. Once again, i'm often very critical about local politics here but, about culture, i have to say that they put the means, and that's fine.

Well, i chose to watch again this masterpiece by David Lynch, this time on original version.

On my screen tonight: Sea of Sand (1958) with Richard Attenborough
LRDG unit on a mission behind enemy lines. Hard to find in HD, but it's a
really good movie.
