Banned IP ranges in Firewall / RSC Banlist

9 years 1 week ago - 7 years 10 months ago #1 by NL
@ ALL ADMINS: IF YOU WANT AN IP RANGE BANNED DO NOT TRY THIS YOURSELF IN RSC, SEND MESSAGE TO BETTERYOUTHANME, SNOWMAN OR NL, OR POST IN FORUM.

In this thread we can record which ranges are banned in the server firewall or RSC banlist text file. It will be a bit easier to keep track of it this way for server administrators and admins if someone is banned but not found in the RSC banlist.

All posts after this one will eventually be updated in this first post, so we have all ranges in one view. Posts below may be deleted.

Ranges banned and active:

Banned 178.66.0.0-178.66.255.255 for Tom / kost.
Range may have to be made wider in the future, there is another block he may connect with.

I want to ban IP range for ???? / Alon who has active ban and keeps reconnecting with different IP / name.
But RSC seems broken? I can add a IP range ban but it does not stay in the list.
Can you try snow?

It doesn't work for me as well. I don't know why it gives an error in german. It's
a software error. I restarted it, but the same error comes up.

Maybe it got corrupted and needs to be re-installed?

Not sure, but I think the error has to do with the way
the values we write in the text fileds are parsed. I think
it expects integer (numeric) value somewhere, like it's
recieving text. I'll try to do it when I have some time.
