Still working with my second Logitech G300. The first one died since a lot but the second still remains, a bit used but still 100% working.

This model was the "low cost" gaming mouse by Logitech and it was a bit criticised by some specialised journalists, who maybe have money enough for playing with mouses more than 100 euros but, frankly, it makes me perfect use for the price, I'll buy the same if i had to replace it. :)

I have the Logitech G500

and it works fine. Looks like the G300 has 2 additional buttons at the right side, but I wonder if I could handle them. I guess with ring finger for right hand users. Maybe you don’t use the additional buttons at all.

I use the additional buttons (for thumb) of the G500 for lie down and crouch, and the wheel mouse side scroll function (left/right) for camera switch and map overview in HD2.

I have bloody 5. Its alright

The world can kick you when you’re down
And it shows no mercy
It makes them smile to see you frown
But just wait and they will see
This would kill the weaker man
But it’s been keeping me alive
Through all the negativity
Somehow I know I will survive

Well I am unhappy to tell that my Logitech G500S is already showing some problems after 1 year and 3 months, mouse button 1 sometimes not responding well or spontaneously double clicking. Not sure if it is again the pillar construction or maybe this time the micro switch. Since I still have my old G500 I can maybe put the electronics from that one to the housing of the S...very disappointing for a mouse in this price range and will be the last time I buy a Logitech mouse...

Old topic but I thought I'd give an update. I am still using the G500S and it performed more or less normal in the last 12 months. But recently it started having the same problems again and I found out by what it is caused. Turns out it has to do with bad material choice/combination which allows for static electricity build up which influences the micro switches, causing double clicks or no clicks. I also found it usually has this problem somewhere between 40-50% relative humidity (indoors). Annoying but at least I know by what it is caused. There is apparently a fix for it but I am not sure yet if I will try.

Good luck Jo. Let me know if it worked. Who knows, maybe in 10 years when I will give up this
mouse, I'll get one like yours :P or they will make birds... you know what type :D
