Restart your system and try again.
Also try to Run as Admin.

Restarted, ran as admin. still the white strip on top.
Any other ideas?

It can either fix itself like it happened to Patrick :D or it's a resolution
problem in case full screen mode doesn't work. Can you also post
a screenshot?

For the white band (rather blue sky for me) I couldn't remove it. The band on the top is approximately 0,8 cms .The bottom icons are cut, I'm in 1920X1080 résolution on a screen of 24 inches. I made a photo to show you.

That looks like it is still "windowed", did you check "fullscreen" in setup.exe?
