Steff - true and false at the same time
It really depends on the region where you live. In whole country you celebrete birthdays until 18. After that in some regions there goes namesday at the first plan. For example - i live in Zielona Góra - western Poland. We celebrate namesday more than birthday (since current age people don't want to remember it ). Agu live in region called GreaterPoland and as I can see, here they celebrate birthday more
