Romania has a new bridge and it's the second longest suspended bridge in Europe

Big storm yesterday. Strong winds coming from nowhere... and I've lost an apple tree

We had a big thunderstorm last night too, heavy rain but not nearly that much and no wind.

That's a lot of water - sorry to hear about your tree

We once had an old apple tree on our property, so big at the trunk you couldn't wrap your arms around it. When it came down in a big storm, it kept producing apples for years after. I guess the paths in the trunk were still strong enough to give food to the tree.

Crazy how much water is on the roads in that video, that can get unsafe to drive in very fast. I hope it was just property that was damaged by the storm. Stay safe!

Actually I've never seen so many trees taken down. There are more that I've seen myself in different areas.

One of the storms with most damage was in 2017 and prior to that in 2015, just before the evening of Otto's Memorial in September after we found out of his passing. I didn't catch the storm, just found out on my way back home from NW Romania.

Also my neighbor lost his plum tree. It wasn't that big. Here's a photo from another neighbor. No more Christmas trees for him
