Coming sunday I will get a SSD harddisk (from a friend who works in IT department) so it will be a good reason to do a complete clean install of windows 7 again. It has been running on my my system for 5 1/2 years without problems but has gotten a little slower. Clean registry, more disk space and I will be ready for the free upgrade to windows 10 if I decide to do that.
So I started making back ups of my data to an external hard disc but it is almost 1 terabyte so it takes quite a while, especially with USB 2. But I use a nice program called Allway Sync which works pretty good.
I also get a new monitor of 24 inch, I now have 21.5 inch so that will be an upgrade too. I am very curious to see how much faster windows will load and run on the SSD.

I had previously a 24" Samsung, it turned out of work a couple of days after the end of warranty.
Since, i use a second hand 22" HP and it's still working.
For me, i'll never buy any Samsung product again.
Just for saying.

I agree about Samsung, it seems that in the last 8 years or so their products have gone downhill. I have 2 Samsung monitors. The old one is fine but my newer widescreen monitor is not very good. The one I am getting now is a Dell, I don't have previous experience with Dell monitors.

In engineering offices, we often used Eizo monitors. Pretty good and pretty expensive, at least at the time.
Also Viewsonic monitors were very good but don't know for present days products.

Yeah the older Eizo were pretty good. In those days Iiyama was pretty good too.

Sure, Iiyama was also a good bargain, enough performances for money
