Btw, this kind of rotative display stand is what i plan to built for my fairies, using motors and spares from old CD writers and others.
I've talk about it some times ago in the chatbox.

My idea is to make a kind of sandwich of about 1 cm, using several old CDs, even scratched, glued together. The last one must be brand new, i'll take by example a free demo CD in the press or something similar, the point is it must be new and shiny. I'll stick it with double-sided tape in order to be able to replace it if necessary. This sandwich mounted on the shaft of a small DC 5V motor. I think the motor will have the required torque, the problem is the fairly large gears or pulleys to use to obtain a final speed about 10 rpm. :nod:

By the length of model and box I would estimate that the diameter of the "mirror" on the display is about 20 centimeters.
Maybe an old turn table cam be used as a base.
