" And these, we should remove them from the police, because it's unworthy. "
12 months prison terms, 6 months of which suspended, and 5 years of prohibition from exercising were requested today by the Public Prosecutor of Bobigny against a cop charged with worsened violence on a man down. 6 months of suspended sentence and 6 months of prohibition from exercising were also requested against a second cop, charged with failure to assist a person in danger.
The video, captured on May 27, 2017, became viral on French social networks. It shows a man down, kicked at the head by a cop, while a second cop stays passive. Witnesses intervenes and tell the cops to stop. Finally the cops will get back in the patrol car, leaving the man.
The hidden face testimony of the victim precise that there are the witnesses who then called 112 for first aid.
It happened by night at a fast-food. The victim says he was waiting outside for his order when patrolmen came for identity verification.
For having asked for the motivation of this verification, he was punch down and kicked.
The version of the cop says that the victim first urinated on the patrol car and spit at his face.
" In this case where the police doesn't protect but assault, I am ashamed ", says the Prosecutor Loïc Pageot. Final decision on December 18.

Over here we don't even know what happened at the Revolution in 1989.
Over 1000 people got killed and nobody knows really who gave the orders.
Was it Ceausescu's generals, the new president... ? I know that trucks of
soldiers were sent to an important airfield and they all got killed by the army
itself - saying they were "terrorists". It was no mistake. It was like a need
for victims to give the revolution importance.
Then there's the miners who got sent from southern Hunedoara to butcher
the protesters in Bucharest. Protesters were seeing the hope for a better
future going down the toilet. And with those miners... it did.
So basically nobody really knows what happened. There are documents,
but the reality is different. Lots of evidence got burned.
