Poire Belle Helene (my first try)... with some mistakes, but I'm full. Made 4 of these:
I guess now I can wait for Feld "The Cook" to post something because Nik is too busy

A little bit of pornography last night. Crepes filled with the same smooth vanilla custard and raisins
I did for the Pain aux raisins. The last of the garden raspberries were divine. Also reduced the juice
of one orange to add a bit of tang.
Enjoy

I found a handful of raspberries yesterday while I finished clearing the weeds
around the grape vines. They were sitting there on a nice raspberry branch
hidden between the vine leaves that were lower to the ground. We collect our
grapes from crouched position, standing or even climbing the ladder.
I also got some Fall apples that have fallen to the ground, cleared them of
the core and rotten parts and sliced them. I melted some butter, added some
sugar, cinnamon and cloves to the sauce, then I added the apples. I cooked
them for about 15 minutes so they are soft-ish, but not mushy. The kitchen
smelled great.
Made my classic crepe batter, with addition of cinnamon and this is the result.
(Other phone with crappy camera. The light on the left is not a freaking candle
)
Enjoy
The crepes are also filled with those flavorful apples. I also made some for my
grandmother. There are 4 crepes on my plate
