In France, the locomotive driver Léon Bronchart refuses to drive a train of Jews to deportation. He is the only known driver of the French railway company SNCF who refused to drive a train of prisoners during the Second World War. Deported to the camp of Dora, he later received the title of Righteous among the Nations by the Yad Vashem Memorial.

In his speech of Craonne, where he inaugurates the sculpture of Haïm Kern on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the armistice of 1918,
the French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin declares his wish that: " the soldiers shot for the example, exhausted by attacks condemned in advance, sliding in a tempered mud of blood, plunged into a bottomless despair, which refused to be sacrificed, victims of a discipline the rigor of which had an equal only the hardness of the fights, reinstate, completely, our national collective memory today ".
This speech is considered as the first official French step to a rehabilitation of the French soldiers "shot for example" during WW1.
The French President in exercise in this time, Jacques Chirac, will judge this initiative, i quote "inconvenient".
Craonne was located on the Chemin des Dames . Here are some pictures.

" It’s at Craonne, on the plateau,
That we have to leave the skin
Because we are all condemned,
We are the sacrified. "

Remember Bhopal today...
And remember the world where we're living, mankind at the service of the economic machine, money, stocks, markets where even the disease must be profitable... This world that has the mouth full of the "human value"...
If communism was wrong, that does not necessarily mean that capitalism is right.
