Well, something a bit different this time...



May 11, 2002


2002 was an exceptional year for the FC Lorient. This year, the club was a finalist in both domestic cups: The French Cup and the League Cup. After losing 0-3 in April against the Girondins de Bordeaux in the final of the League Cup, Lorient got on May 11, 2002 his first trophy by winning the French Cup 1-0 against the SC Bastia.

The story might have ended there, but look more and you'll see that, with Lorient, you have to expect everything, sometimes the worst, sometimes the best...

Thank you for this post, Juanma. Personally, i didn't know this man and his story for his refusal to perform the nazi salute (with a lowercase letter, again, i already have explained myself about this specific point).
