I told you about some days ago: The frigate Aquitaine, now based in Brest, was officially delivered today Friday to the French Navy.

Its primary role will be the protection of French ballistic missile submarines, based in Île Longue, a part of the military harbour of Brest.

This is an extraordinary operation that took place on Monday at the University Hospital of Rennes, in Brittany.

For nearly eight hours, Professor Karim Boudjema and his team have operate a 64 year old woman with cancer of the liver theoretically inoperable and left him only a few months to live.

To save her, Professor Boudjema completed a transaction ex vivo. Extracting the condemned liver from the body of the patient and then eradicate all cancer cells that had already devoured 60% of the liver.

Professor Boudjema is the only practitioner in France to perform such an operation that he made for the fourth time.

23 mothers of Port-Louis, the little historic city in front of Lorient, agreed to participate in the 2013 calendar, the sale will start next Saturday.

A calendar very "pin up", made with the volunteer complicity of Parisian photographer Raphael Martiq. The result is sexy and glamorous pictures in the 1950's style...

These calendars will be on sale next Saturday, at the Christmas market in Port-Louis. Price: 10 €. The recipe will be used to fund activities for students.
