The patrol boat Niamh of the Irish Navy arrived at Lorient on Thursday morning, in the framework of the Interceltic Festival where Ireland is the honored guest this year. The public can go on board and visit the boat.

The Niamh is a patrol boat of 78 m of length. It embarks about fifty sailors, among which numerous of pupils. Based in Cork, it is one of the biggest vessels and one of the most recent (put into service in 2001) of the Irish fleet, the Irish Naval Service.

The Irish fleet is the smallest military fleet of the European Union. Ireland being a neutral country, she is not a member of the NATO.

We could manage a mission to plant some mines under it. Then it will be Irish no-fleet

I would join your mission. But only if DJ is leading.

Plus I would give anything to be waiting on the ladder for 10 minutes and then the guards spot someone farting in the water. (That was a fun fail!)

And here we are. The Lorient Interceltic Festival officially began tonight. I didn't have much time today but i already tried to take some markers for the next ten days. No concert so for me tonight, no bar either, but some pictures of the village of craftsmen in the city center, between the Glotin place and the Jules Ferry garden. A bit of everything, knives, dolls, jewelry... Emvod ar Gelted !

Focus on the Breizh Kontell shop : Genuine Breton knives, proudly handcrafted and lifetime warranted.
A full range of high quality knives, including amazing unique pieces.

The Breizh Kontell special edition : Exceptional pieces, naturally, made each to a single copy by masters cutlers craftsmen from Breizh Kontell.

This one below, by example, comes with a top quality damascus steel blade and the knife-handle is made with mammoth tusk. It's cost : 690 €.

Believe me, holding this masterpiece in your hand, even for only some seconds, is something really tremendous...

Jewellery and sculptures on wood and vegetal ivory

Witches dolls :666:

More pictures tomorrow...
