15kg?? how much did you pay for them?
Honey has become extremely expensive here. I've stopped using sugar some years ago. I only use honey if I want something sweet now.
I wish I could also buy it in bulk like you do

Two of these. One has 6 liters, the other 5 liters. Of course, honey weights more than water.
My dad payed this man 20 Ron per kilo. He usually sells it for 23 Ron, but they are long time friends.
1 Euro = 4.5 Ron so 15kg X 20 = 300 Ron / 4.5 Ron = 67 Euros
Actually it was 14.7 Kg of honey, but what the heck. It was 15 and 1/2 800g jars. Last years it was
somewhere over 16 jars.
The honey is 100% natural from this guy. He doesn't sell it on the market. I think I saw it on the market
here selling for 7-8 Euros(over 30 lei per jar of 800g). This guy isn't trying to make a fortune with selling
honey. Bee keeping is his passion. I see that the honey they give you here when you go in town and buy
a tea, has sugar in it, no doubt. Usually honey is quite thick, and over years it gets "suggary". You need
to melt it if you want to get it out of the bottle easily. This happened in first year, when we only put honey
in one jar, and refilled it. One of the bottles had honey that wasn't so thick, but was delicious. Guessing
it's from the late summer flowers.

That means a kilo is a bit more than 4 euros, let's say 5 euros for "non friends price" : It's really cheap. I don't have the opportunity to know any honey producers and, when i can offer myself a bit, i buy it on retail. If i make a comparision with local similar production, i.e honeys produced by local artisans, as examples below, and not i don't know from where "industrial" productions, i pay it about 20 euros a kilo in the retail shops. Well, sure, it depends also on the category, some are much cheaper and some are much expensive, depending on the flowers on which the bees gather pollen. Also, the problem of increasing mortality of bees, due to some pesticides used by agriculture, tends to increase the price of the final product.

This is the one I'm buying now. I find it in the supermarket nearby. It's 100% italian (unlike other brands that mix different honeys from different countries...how good can that be??
), it's organic and it's not thermically treated. I also like it because it's not too liquid.

I think the one we have is multi flower. It's similar to the one in the last photo Nik
posted, which says "consume before ..."
Whatch out for those signs, Nik
Damni's honey is 100% natural because its crystallization. Additives don't do that.
Actually, one of the two bottles, the 6 liter one, had this thickness at the middle.
There I had to squeeze the bottle like it was some thick tomato paste

Well, continuing to speak about food in "What's up at home today"... (
), it was today the beginning of the season for anchovies.
As others, this fishing is seriously controlled and professional fishers have to respect specific rules about quantity (quotas) and fishing periods.
Yesterday night, three tons were landed at Lorient-Kéroman fishing port.
Anchovy was sold about 1.50 euros / kilo to professional fishmongers.
