Hey lads,
i just found an interesting post in the local press here, talking about a nazi concentration camp on the island of Aurigny, west from Cherbourg.
Honestly, i didn't know about this story. I provide the link to the original French post.
This post is long enough and cannot be copy/paste in Google translator so i'll attempt a translation by myself tonight.

An old U-boot engine is going to be restored at the Lorient submarine base in order to become a piece of the submarine museum.
This is a piece from WW2 which was neglected in the Lorient naval arsenal because lack of place in the submarine base.
The guys of the MESMAT (Lorient submarine museum) have a lot to do, the thing there weighs 22 tons...
More info here including a video

Btw, lads, listen to this so if you come one day in Lorient, you'll have a chance for not being taken as a tourist...
The tower you can see at the beginning of this video is not, say again not a lighthouse, it doesn't include any projector. This is a former customs watchtower called here " Tour de la Découverte ".

Discovered today on local press. I share it because it's really nice pictures about the Mont Saint-Michel.
Great work by the photo-reporter Jean-Michel Niester.
