I finally watched "Lebanon" tonight. Already in my mind since it came out in 2009 and won some prizes.
It's an Israeli movie about a tank crew in 1982 during the war in Lebanon. The film is shot from inside the tank.
Even though it was worth a watch it was somehow disappointing. It felt like many other war movies and the unique aspect, seeing the world from inside the tank with all the bad communication with the outside world and claustrophobia, didn't quite work out for me. The soldiers are portrayed as real people however and not so much 'heroes'. On the net you can find versions with good English subtitles, not sure about other languages.

In some scenes you can see how a winter forest should look like - also in a computer game! Maybe we can improve the H&D2 tree models sometimes to create a more convincing atmosphere on winter and Alps maps.

The Pianist. Its film about history of real polish pianist, the action takes place in World War 2. Film have very good music and its very realistic. This film show how was looking life of jews in polish ghetto and in another places.

Thank you for bringing this movie to our attention again. I never saw it before (don't know why) but watched it tonight. Very good movie.
