What's up at home today...?

Now spring is coming again I only have jackdaws feeding on the lard/seed balls on my balcony and they mostly ruin it without really eating but chase all tits and robins away. See you next winter birdies.

I've been feeding the birds non-stop since October 2015. Day by day.
In April last year, there wasn't much activity until the first row of newly
born arrived, the later one was in late August. The same mom and dad
Tits had around 10 babies

I guess Damni would say they were really horny

I only feed them to help them through the winter. Some say feeding year round is a bad thing because the birds would lose the ability to find their own food, don't know if that's true though. I can imagine it may hold truth for the young birds if they grow up with such an easy food source.

I don't think they become to dependent. This is not their
only source of food. The find food all around. As trees
begin to bloom the birds will come less and less. The
babies find their own group as soon as they no longer
depend on mom and pop.
