An Airbus A320 with 142 passengers and six crewmembers has crashed in Digne region, southern France, media reports say. The jet, which belonged to Germanwings low-cost airline, was flying from Barcelona to Düsseldorf.

The plane crash in the French Alps was confirmed by General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The jet crashed in the Upper Bléone Valley, Le Provence wrote. Emergency services are currently heading to the disaster zone.

France’s Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve has confirmed the plane crash and is headed to the scene, local TV reported. He added that debris from the crashed jet has been found near a village.

At 15:25 PM French time, the press announces that the weather on the area is turning bad and may disturb the rescue operations.

Local press also report that helicopters of French air force and ground army ( ALAT ) are also mobilised.

EDIT : Just notice that the video on previous post by Max is not related to this today's crash, it's about another one which occured in 2009.

Also, what we know for now is that the pilot was experienced with 6000 hours of flight and that the plane didn't emit any mayday radio message. According to French President François Hollande, it seems that there are no survivors. :(

At 14:30 French time, the mobilised means are :

5 helicopters
1 Mirage 2000 fighter for survey
1 KC-135 for radio communication (replaced by an E3F Awacs at 16:00)
3 Gendarmerie squadrons for securising the area and access control
About 100 Gendarmes for the inquiry and bodies identification

Also, civilian means of SAMU (1st emergency medical rescue) and firefighters are also involved.

The National Graphene Institute , located at the University of Manchester, UK, announces the world's first manufactured object using graphene , and it's a revolutionary lightbulb.

As you can see on Wikipedia and others sources, the characteristics of the graphene and the range of its potential applications are so amazing that we can easily talk about the material of XX1th century.

Presently, only a handful of plants in the world are able to produce graphene, and it's at the prohibitive cost of about $800 (height hundred) per gramme. Recently, the Chinese industrial giant Ningbo Moxi announced that he can produce, in its plant in the city of Cixi and by using new process, about 300 tons per year for a cost of $1 (one) per gramme, so a cost ratio from 800 to 1.

Well, If you got money for placing it in this business, i think your children will be rich...
