Maps are crashing for me on random occasion too when I use that dta/original files button (virtual storage?) in Lutsip, however when I move the mission to MISSION folders and then select it manually without the dta button, it works. Try moving the czech1 mission to the MISSION folders if you haven't tried that already.

I had the same experience, original Czech1 maps freeze or crash the program after a while, when you move around your view. Might have to do with the window of the station building where you can climb in. Even with modern hardware and Win11.

In the Editor settings i changed the "Games files directory" path from C:\GOG Games\Hidden and Dangerous 2\Unpacked to C:\GOG Games\Hidden and Dangerous 2 and the Czech1 mission loaded without crash. Thanks for help @Stompinidus!

Also compliments for @FlashX for such great editor! Thanks to him i was able to check the placement and names of models in original H&D 2 maps and that helped me to create H&D Deluxe addons.
